“Palaeontologist for a day” Package

Notre-Dame-du-Nord: mid-June to early September Introduction in field discovery and in crop of fossils on the ground. You will have a 1 hour visit of the fossiliferous centre, a 4 hour excursion and 1 hour of laboratory with a personal guide who will help you to harvest, to identify and to prepare your personal collection which you will bring back as a souvenir. Complete equipment is provided.

Centre thématique fossilifère : Main exhibition recreates the marine environment of Témiscamingue as it was 420-480 million years ago, with its fantastic rocks and its animal fossils. A second exhibition “Les habitants du lac Témiscamingue” will reveal to you the aquatic wildlife of this majestic lake . Young and old can also try their hand at short scientific experiments. In addition, you are invited to take part in safaris where you get the chance to explore fossil sites.
